    Happy Anniversary, Details!

Happy Anniversary Details! Nine years ago today we held our Grand Opening celebration at our previous location. We were (and still are!) two sisters on a mission to build a business from scratch. Over the past nine years we have grown to a team of five and expanded to a bigger showroom. Wonder what will be next??
Sending out a BIG 'Thank You' to all of our clients and colleagues for keeping us going!

    Aging in Place

    Looking to Age-In-Place?

We can help you! Our designer, Nathan, is now a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS)!

    What is CAPS?

Nathan has earned his designation as a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, CAPS by the National Association of Home Builders, NAHB. He completed a three-day training program equipped with technical, customer service and marketing skills required to effectively service the burgeoning market for aging-in-place home modifications.

Demographic trends indicate that homeowners who plan to stay in their homes, as they get older instead of making other housing accommodations are one of the fastest growing segments of the residential design and remodeling market. Many of these households can be expected to call on designers and remodelers to adapt their homes to their changing needs and lifestyles in order to maintain their independence.

    What is "Aging-In-Place"?

Aging-in-place means living in one’s home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level. It means the pleasure of remaining in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years, and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and the special events that enrich all our lives. It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a home for a lifetime.

Projects for the aging-in-place design and remodeling segment range from installation of bath and shower grab bars and adjustment of countertop heights to the creation of multi-functional first-floor master suites and the installation of private elevators.

Nathan’s CAPS training involved learning the mechanics and nuances of effective assessments of clients’ needs and integrating myriad considerations into unified, aesthetically pleasing, functional solutions. Contact Nathan about your aging-in-place design in your home: 508.758.6083 or 508.837.3972 and Nathan@kbdetails.com

    Emerald Green - Pantone's Color for 2013

Each year, Pantone, the world-renowned color experts, designate an official "color of the year".  For 2013 they've selected emerald green.  They describe the color as "lively, radiant and lush...a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."  Who wouldn't love a little elegance and harmony in their home?  Pantone's website (www.pantone.com) is a great resource to check out a huge variety of colors and current color trends.  A pop of color is a fun way to give a room touch of personality, especially in the kitchen.  To help you make this the year of emerald green, we've selected some fabulous kitchen and home items shown below, including some products available through Kitchen & Bath Details!
